Our history
Six Decades of Wholesale Monitoring
Nestled in the heart of Columbus, Georgia is where we were formed and still reside today. We have grown into a nationwide monitoring facility, and we hold true to the same customer service values that brought us here.
1965
The beginning
While working for Southern Bell, B.H. Davenport started a one-man alarm installation company. When the Columbus police department stopped taking alarm calls directly, he bought an answering service call center and began answering alarm calls for other local companies as well as his own.
Early years
A pioneer in Georgia
Cen-Signal was a pioneer member of the Georgia Burglar and Fire Alarm Association and helped shape its formative years. Our reputation spread and we began monitoring for dealers across Georgia.
1984
All in on wholesale
We disbanded the installation company, received our UL listing for alarm monitoring and focused solely on wholesale monitoring.
Today
Nationwide, still family
We monitor alarms across the United States, stay active in alarm associations at every level, and are still owned and operated by the founding family.
